Performs great, looks even better Finally, after weeks of confusion between the Sony BDV E880 (which had 250 positive reviews) and this one (which had 3 worldwide reviews in total), I went with my gut feeling and got the Sony BDV E490 as my first Home Cinema to go with my Sony Bravia 40″ LCD Television.Assembling: The system is easy to assemble, including the stands, was up and running in less than half an hour.Cables: Since none of the Home cinema come with HDMI/Optical cables, I had to get the cables…
Amazing Sound & Picture After looking around a few shops at home cinema this one seemed to sound the best in all the shops I went too. The picture quality is expectational, the online apps are a great addition and most importantly the sound is amazing.Putting this all together was pretty straight forward and you can do it alone in under 30 minutes. Tho getting the position of the speakers takes a little bit more time with a good film to get the feel of it.Makes my old TV feel and look new again!
Pretty good volume Reasonably simple for my (techno-phobe) hubby to set up. Great sound from the front, but rear speakers really lack oomph, which means we don’t really get the surround sound we expected. Also, disappointed that the mp3 dock only takes iPod – cant even use my Sony mp3 in it.
